Why Print Books?
We have used and continue to use guitar album transcriptions and reference books to learn new songs and techniques. There is nothing like having the physical book in front of you....especially when it lays flat while you learn ;)
Growing up, we noticed many mistakes in big publisher books and we knew they weren't actually inspected or approved by the bands we loved. Now, we are committed to releasing accurate and artist-approved works of art.
Put our books against any big publisher and you will notice the difference!

How Do You Transcribe Your Books?
We transcribe exclusively in Guitar Pro software. There's a lot of really great transcription software out there, but we've found Guitar Pro to be the best for guitar related music. We include these Guitar Pro files with every single release we offer.
*psst - if you don't have Guitar Pro and want it, you can get 20% off HERE
Most of our books are transcribed using "studio stems" for each project. These are isolated tracks of every musical instrument on any given album. They provide unmatched clarity when it comes to hearing what is actually played - and thus provide the best source for accurate transcription. We then take the transcription to the actual artist and edit with them personally. We work as long as it takes to get their full approval of the project before sending to print.
It's an arduous process - but one that separates us from the pack. We wouldn't do things any other way.

How Do I Know Any Given Transcription is Accurate?
We work directly with each artist during the creation of every book to ensure the highest level of accuracy possible.
Our amazing transcribers have more than 450 books under their belts at this point, and our editing process is designed to catch any discrepancies between what is heard on the album and what is written down on paper.
With that said - there are many ways to play any given riff on a guitar neck. While our transcriptions are note-for-note accurate - the fingerings, neck position, and overall approach to how each section is played are decided by what's heard on the album - not necessarily how the artist plays it in a live setting. -
I Saw One of Your Artists Play Their Song or Riff Differently Than What's In The Book!
We transcribe to album stems - which means we can communicate what is heard note for note on any given album.
Us musicians are always adapting how we approach our songs in a live setting. Because of this, some riffs and/or passages in our books may vary slightly from how we see an artist pull it off live.
Our ultimate goal is to teach you how to play the recorded version - as close as conceivably possible to what you hear on your favourite records.

How Are Your Books Bound?
All of our books are spiral bound. We believe it should lie flat when you are trying to read it. This way, our books become 'music stand friendly' and you don't have to 'break the back' of the book to read it properly.
The spiral binding is plastic (instead of metal) to make sure it is flexible and doesn't warp in the shipping process.

What Are Your Books Made Out Of?
Each of our printed book product descriptions describe the paper, binding and other special features of the print-run. We try to capture the look and presentation the artist is specifically after for each project. When making our books by hand, we use only the highest quality paper, laminate, ink & binding supplies available.

How Do Your Digital Music Books Work?
The digital books (as well as the accompanying digital components to printed books) are INSTANT! You will be redirected to a download page where you can grab everything at once. Make sure you don't have a pop-up blocker on which may block this redirection.
As a backup, you will also receive an automatic email from us with another link to your purchased digital orders. Sometimes, your junk mail will filter these (depending on your junk mail settings). Make sure you check your junk mail before you assume it was never emailed to you - as well as checking / confirming your proper email address supplied upon purchase.
Finally, we recommend that you initially download your digital files with a laptop or desk top computer. We have to compress the files to save you time and space and phones and tablets can sometimes have problems with compressed files. We suggest you download with a computer first and then transfer the unpacked files to you phone or tablet should you desire to view them on those devices. Having said the above though, we have done extensive download testing on mobile devices with a very high success rate. Many phones will handle zip files no problem, so don't asume that using an actual computer is a deal breaker!
