NOTE: There are two main tunings used in this book: G# (4 steps down) and A# (3 steps down). Rob and Erik tune their second strings slightly differently. Rob tunes his second string 1/2 step higher (E in G# tuning, F# in A# tuning) than erik. One way to look at it is that Rob's tuning is like the bottom 6 strings of a 7-string guitar, whereas Erik's tuning maintains the same intervals as a 6-string in standard tuning.
