Some musicians have more riffs than they know what to do with. From exceptional improv solos to beautifully crafted chord progressions, many of our artists have fantastic ideas that are put to video, posted online, and simply fade into obscurity. Perhaps they’ll get their due and end up in a song worthy of their excellence, but more often than not, they’re doomed to the chronological wilderness of social media.
Well, we at Sheet Happens won’t stand for another lost piece of guitar genius. This column is dedicated to excavating the lost riffs of the internet, and preserving them for generations to come.

In this second instalment of Riff Memos, we have our good friend Nick Johnston with a little rip from the latest in his improv series, "Atomic Improv Vol. 6". Nick posted this clip December 19th, 2019, and it sure is a doozy. Grab the free GP and PDF tabs for this section here, and be sure to check out his Sheet Happens catalog as well as his Atomic Improv series.
Note: The end of this video was somehow corrupted, so we're missing a couple of seconds, but rest assured that the magic you're missing here is included in the tab!
